Through the process of relief printmaking, I uncover diluted memories of anxiety to the primal fear of death that lies within us. These pieces look upon the unnatural death caused by human alterations to the landscape. New relationships are created within the ecosystem from events such as roadkill and garbage dumping. Each of these things that fall into this altered cycle become entangled together over time in an overgrowth of weeds and plants forming a new entity. These entities reflect the landscape that surrounded me in childhood and the new ones I’ve experienced since leaving home.
