My affinity for nature came with being born and raised in a small town just outside of a provincial park. Unfortunately the damper of pollution has affected my avidity to explore the outdoors as I once did. With a pinch of satire, my work confronts the issue of our garbage culture and the environment. The use of physical garbage as a medium authenticates the notion of litter being problematic. This application of found materials submerses my work into the realm of sculpture. The intent is to approach this matter of corruption through the demonstration of animals adapting to unfortunate situations caused by human behaviour.
