Minor in Art History
The art work of Kathleen Lesser is derived from the surrounding landscapes that the artist is inhibiting. Her work abstractly reflects Canadian landscapes and scenery through the mediums of painting and textile work. Kathleen takes the color, shape, pattern and texture that is found within the landscapes, and applies it to each of her works. Kathleen’s work creates a conversation between the traditional elements of craft, through her weaving practices, while also commenting on the historical context of fine art.
