Minor in Art History and Drawing

Over the past year I have been interested in exploring ideas and perceptions of the human figure. I am interested in body language and how we choose to present ourselves or how we are perceived. I introduced the blind contour as a tool to depict a skewed view of a person. The blind contour portrait speaks to the individual as non-static beings constantly changing. More specifically how you view people is constantly changing through experiences and knowledge. The blind contour became an interesting way to explore line and colour in painting. It was a way to bring more drawing elements to the paintings.
