BFA Fine Art
As an artist my practice has grown to include many disciplines. I started out, just as many others have, with a base in drawing and not much else. NSCAD offered the facilities to move in almost any direction so I explored as many as I could.
I have gone into sculpture, printmaking (relief and screen), continued in drawing, and started working with film. Working in these genres of art I have tried to push them together when possible and ignore the pressure produced by institutionalized art to work within the often-segregated disciplines of fine art.
What I produce often works with ideas of history (and who has written it), urban spaces, and pop culture whether it is manifested as a concrete print, a creaking scrolling backdrop, or a series of flying-machine models.
