Brycen Boland

BFA Fine Art

expose-seperator

Boland states, “through the use of layers of colour and texture, my intention is to balance control and chaos within my work. My paintings are intuitive in nature and rely heavily on happenstance and chance to produce visually stimulating works. The juxtaposition of colour and texture are very important in creating optical mixing effects within my paintings and are an integral part of my current practice. In the past at NSCAD I have studied a wide variety of disciplines including textiles, book binding, drawing, painting and sculpture. My current work reflect my diverse background through the use of many different media including spray paint, acrylic, oil, enamel, dye, crochet, and collage.”
